1.Introduction
This high-frequency test system for insulating materials is composed of S916 test fixture, high-frequency Q meter, built-in data acquisition & automatic tanδ measurement software module, and HLK-1 inductors.
It is designed and manufactured in compliance with GB/T 1409-2006, GB/T 1693-2007, ASTM D150 and IEC 60250 standards.
The system provides an optimal solution for automatic testing of high-frequency dielectric loss tangent (tanδ) and dielectric constant (ε) of insulating materials.
A parallel-plate capacitor fixture is used to clamp test samples, matched with Q meter as the reading unit. The dielectric loss tangent is calculated by formula based on Q value difference (sample loaded / unloaded) and sample thickness reading.
The digital Q meter can automatically compute and display dielectric constant (ε) and dielectric loss (tanδ).
