Equipment Summary：
The wire and cable flexing tester supports a variety of optional test loads, meeting diverse dynamic flexing‑test requirements for flexible wires and cables from wire‑and‑cable manufacturers and inspection authorities.

This machine is designed and manufactured in accordance with standards: IEC227‑2, IEC245‑2, UL1581, VDE0472, IEC60227‑2(ed2)1997, IEC60245‑2(ed2)1994+A1:1997, HD22.1 Clause 5.6.3.1, 5.6.3.2, GB5023.2 and GB5013.2.
Scope of Application:
It is suitable for performing dynamic flexing tests under load on flexible cables with rubber‑plastic insulation and sheaths. The unit will automatically stop upon detecting the following cable faults during testing:
(1) Conductor open‑circuit
(2) Short‑circuit between conductors
(3) Short‑circuit between cable specimen and pulley.
Multiple optional test loads are available for this instrument to meet various dynamic flexing‑test requirements for flexible wires and cables from cable manufacturers and inspection authorities.
Test Method:
A test specimen approximately 7 meters in length is wound around two pulleys of specified diameter at its middle section. Weights are applied to both ends of the specimen, and electric current is passed through it. The pulleys are then moved reciprocally over a stroke of 1 meter at a speed of 0.33 m/min (for two-pulley type) or 0.1 m/min (for three-pulley type), causing the specimen to undergo repeated bending and stretching. The test automatically stops when wire breakage occurs or when the preset cycle count is reached. The specimen is then removed and evaluated for its flexing resistance.
