Principle details of equipment
Test purpose:This machine is suitable for the simulation case of various types of batteries in using, transportation, storage or disposal of household waste, when the battery suffer from squeezing.The battery does not explode or burn as qualified.
Test method:Tests should be carried out at 20℃±5℃ ambient temperature, put the battery with thermocouplein the draught cupboard( thermocouple contacts are fixed on the battery surface). Pierce the battery with a diameter of 3-8mm corrosion-resistant stainless steel needle in the center position of maximum surface at the speed of 10mm/s-40mm/s, and hold it for 5 seconds. The battery does not explode or burn as qualified.
As for square and soft battery, pierce the battery only at the center section of the wide side.
2、For the coin type or button type battery,pierce in a way that the upper and lower planes of the battery are parallel with the plate.
Pierce at least 3 single cell batteries in turn from the direction perpendicular to the battery plate,with high temperature resistant steel needle which has a diameter of 6mm ~ 10mm( the cone angle of the needle tip is 45 degrees ~60 degrees.The needle surface is smooth, no rust or oxidationn layer or oil contamination. Observe for an hour.

Decompression and explosion venting function: The rear part of the box body is equipped with explosion door.When pierces or squeezes the battery leads to explosion, the pressure inside the box gets too large. Explosion door can be opened automatically and relieve pressure inside,reduce the pressure impact on the box door.
