This instrument is used to determine the ability of geotextiles and related products to resist the penetration of steel cones falling from a fixed height. It characterizes the degree of damage to the geotextiles caused by sharp stones falling on the surface of the geotextiles. Its performance conforms to the national standard GB/T17630 Requirements of “Dynamic Perforation Test of Geotextiles and Related Products – Falling Cone Method”.
Principle:
The geotextile sample is clamped horizontally in the clamping ring, and the steel cone of the specified quality is dropped on the sample from a height of 500mm to form a hole in the sample, and then a small-angle measuring cone marked with a scale is inserted into the hole. The degree of penetration is measured.
