Principle:

Unidirectional twist: the sample uniformly rotating around its own axis in one direction 360 degrees as a twist to a predetermined number of times or specimen fracture

Bidirectional twist: the sample evenly around its own axis in one direction of rotation of 360 degrees as a twist to the specified number of times, the same number in the opposite direction of rotation or specimen fracture.

The main purposes:

Metal wire torsion testing machine for measuring the diameter (or characteristic dimension) of the metal wire 0.1-10.0mm ability to withstand plastic deformation and display wire surface and internal defects in one-way or two-way reversed.

Applicable standards:

Metal wire torsion testing machine for People’s Republic of China standard GB / T 239.1-2012 “the first part of a one-way wire metal materials torsion test method”, is also applicable to the international standard ISO 7800: 2003 “unidirectional metal wire torsion test method” and ISO 9649: 1990 “two-way metal wire torsion testing methods.”

Sample:

Specimen as flat as possible, if necessary straightening, but not hurt the surface, nor distort the specimen.
