Overview:
The Wire and Cable Flexing Testing Machine supports multiple test loads, meeting the dynamic flexing test requirements for soft wires and cables by manufacturers and inspection departments.
Applicable Standards:
Designed and manufactured in compliance with IEC 227-2, IEC 245-2, UL 1581, VDE 0472, IEC 60227-2(ed2)1997, IEC 60245-2(ed2)1994+A1:1997, HD22.1 Section 5.6.3.1/5.6.3.2, and GB 5023.2 standards.
Scope of Application:
Used to test the dynamic flexing performance of rubber/plastic insulated and sheathed flexible cables under load. The machine detects and stops upon the following failures:
(1) Conductor breakage
(2) Short circuit between conductors
(3) Short circuit between the cable sample and the pulley.
The instrument supports multiple test loads to accommodate diverse dynamic flexing test requirements.
Test Method:
A sample approximately 7 meters long is flexed over two pulleys of specified diameters. Weights are applied to both ends, and electric current is passed through the sample. The pulleys move at a speed of 0.33 m/min over a 1-meter stroke, causing the sample to undergo repeated bending and stretching. The test automatically stops when wire breakage occurs or the preset cycle count is reached. The sample is then evaluated for flexing resistance.
